Gli autori del libro Maria Teresa Cometto e Alessandro Piol, da anni residenti nella Grande Mela, passeggiando nei vivaci quartieri newyorkesi hanno intervistato 50 personaggi chiave: i fondatori delle start-up più significative e interessanti nei vari campi, provenienti da tutto il mondo. La presentazione si terrà stasera alle 17.30 in auditorio (campus di Lugano) con la moderazione di Alberto Di Stefano (Banque Cramer & Cie, Lugano) e un'introduzione al tema del prof. Gianluca Colombo della Facoltà di scienze economiche.

Conferenza dell'architetto ticinese Nicola Baserga

Nicola Baserga, professore di progettazione invitato all'Accademia di architettura, incontra il pubblico giovedì 28 marzo alle ore 20.00, nell'Aula magna del campus di Mendrisio. Tra i suoi progetti sono da segnalare la Capanna Cristallina in Valle Maggia e la palestra CPC di Chiasso.

Il prof. Paulo Gonçalves nella nazionale svizzera delle start-up

Il direttore del nostro Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Logistics and Management, fondatore insieme a due alumni USI della start-up SwissLeg, è stato selezionato dal programma federale venturelab tra i migliori 10 nuovi imprenditori elvetici. Parteciperà dunque, come unico imprenditore proveniente dal Ticino, a un esclusivo corso di formazione a Boston, a contatto con venture capitalist e start-up USA di successo.

Denise Maiocchi e Dino Merisi gli studenti premiati

Sono state consegnate giovedì le neoistituite borse di studio Harley Davidson Club Ticino (H-DTC), destinate agli studenti ticinesi più meritevoli: Denise Maiocchi di Porza (Bachelor in Scienze della comunicazione, II anno) e Dino Merisi di Stabio (Bachelor in Architettura, III anno) hanno ricevuto ciascuno un assegno di 4'000 CHF alla presenza del Presidente dell'H-DCT Augusto Marchi e del Presidente dell'USI Piero Martinoli.

Finance at USI: Insights for investors

I prof. Antonio Mele, Fabio Trojani, Giovanni Barone-Adesi e François Degeorge animeranno un intero pomeriggio dedicato alla finanza. Concluderà i lavori un relatore d'eccezione, Andrea Beltratti, presidente del Consiglio di gestione di Intesa Sanpaolo e professore all'Università Bocconi. L'appuntamento, organizzato dallo Swiss Finance Institute del quale fa parte l'Istituto di finanza dell'USI, è per giovedì 11 aprile dalle 13.00 in auditorio (campus di Lugano).

Diventa un diplomatico con USI MUN

Giovedì 28 marzo alle 17.30, in aula A11 (campus di Lugano), tutti gli interessati potranno iscriversi all'associazione e conoscerne il programma di formazione, che permette di acquisire le conoscenze, il linguaggio, le procedure e le modalità di preparazione agli incontri "Model United Nations", simulazioni realistiche delle attività diplomatiche delle Nazioni Unite.

The authors of the book Maria Teresa Cometto and Alessandro Piol have been living in the Big Apple for many years. Strolling in the lively boroughs of the city, they interviewed 50 figures: the founders of the most significant and interesting start-ups in key arious fields hailing from all over the world. The presentation will be held tonight at 5.30pm in the Auditorium of Lugano Campus, with Alberto Di Stefano (Banque Cramer & Cie, Lugano) as moderator and an introduction by Prof. Gianluca Colombo of the Faculty of Economics.

A Lecture by Ticino's Architect Nicola Baserga

Guest Professor of Design at the Academy of Architecture, Nicola Baserga, will meet the public on Thursday, 28 March at 8pm in the Aula Magna of Mendrisio Campus. Among his notable projects, the Crystal Hut in Valle Maggia, and the CPC Gymnasium in Chiasso.

Prof. Paulo Gonçalves in the Swiss National Start-up Team 

The Academic Director of our Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Logistics and Management and founder with two USI alumni of the start-up SwissLeg, has been the only one in Ticino selected by the Federal Programme venturelab among the 10 best Swiss entrepreneurs. He will take part in an exclusive training course which will be held in Boston. A great chance for networking with successful USA venture capitalists and start-ups.

Denise Maiocchi and Dino Merisi are the Award winning Students

The recently established Harley Davidson Club Ticino scholarships were awarded on Thursday, 21 March to Ticino’s most deserving students:  Denise Maiocchi from Porza (Bachelor in Communication Sciences, II year) and Dino Merisi from Stabio (Bachelor in Architecture, III year). Both students received a check for 4,000 CHF in the presence of H-DCT’s President Augusto Marchi and USI’s President Piero Martinoli.

Finance at USI: Insights for investors

The Professors of USI's Institute of Finance Antonio Mele, Fabio Trojani, Giovanni Barone-Adesi and François Degeorge will host an entire afternoon dedicated to finance. To close the encounter an exceptional speaker, Andrea Beltratti, President of Intesa Sanpaolo Board of Management and Professor at Bocconi University. The lecture is organised by the Swiss Finance Institute and it will be held on Thursday, 11 April at 1pm in the Auditorium (Lugano Campus)

Become a Diplomat with USI MUN

All students interested can join the association and learn about the training programme on Thursday, 28 March at 5.30pm in room A11 of Lugano Campus. A chance to acquire the knowledge, the language and the skills to prepare for the "Model United Nations" encounters: realistic simulations of UN's diplomatic activities.
