TO THE ORIGINS OF ART Paintings from the origins of art, from the Paleolithic to the Etruscan eras In four lectures coordinated by achaeologist Cornelia Isler-Kerényi, examples of paintings
will be shown from the famous pre-historic caves of France and Spain, from the Age of the Pharoah in Egypt to Thera
(Santorini) and from the most important Etruscan tombs of Tarquinia. The first event, “Paleolithic Rock Art", is scheduled for Wednesday at 6pm in the auditorium (Lugano Campus). FASHION WORKSHOP The future of the fashion industry post-2012? The workshop, organised by the USI Career Service, will see the participation of three business leaders from the fashion industry: Armani with Patrizia Bolzoni (Marketing Director), Bally with Amit Goyal (Director Emerging Markets) and Zegna with Benedetta Zegna (Talent Management Director). The talk will take place Thursday at 11:30am in the Lugano Campus auditorium and will be moderated by Ivan Snehota, Professor of Strategic Marketing.

| - To mark the World Day of Audiovisual Heritage, the Archive of the Modern is organizing a screening of audiovisuals from its archives regarding the history of contemporary architecture. From Monday, October 25th, to Saturday, October 30th, three films (in French) will be presented in the screening area of the Academy of Architecture (ground floor of
Palazzo Canavée); the films
are dedicated to three grand masters of architecture from the 20th century: Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, and Oscar Niemeyer.
- The International Relations and Study-abroad Office organises an information meeting for the students on Friday, October 29th, 12:30pm in the Auditorium (Lugano Campus). The session will cover procedures for an exchange semester either in another Swiss University, in a partner university in the framework of the European Erasmus Programme, or in other international programmes.
