Carlo Ossola, Professor at the Collège de France in Paris and director of USI Institute of Italian Studies, will receive the prestigious
prize at a ceremony to be held in the Auditorium (Lugano Campus) on Wednesday, 9 May at 6pm. The BSI Fondazione del Centenario has the aim to give recognition to people and organisations who have worked towards the development of relations between Italy and Switzerland. More Information. | | USI IN THE SERVICE OF DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION | | About Thirty Helvetas Communication Experts at USI for a Training Course An efficient communication is crucial for a non-governmental organisation such as HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation, which from Switzerland coordinates projects in over 30 partner countries and counts over 1200 local collaborator and around 60 European experts. Last Friday, prof. Lorenzo Cantoni, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences held a short training course for the Swiss operators of Helvetas engaged in communication, with particular focus on non profit online communication and reputation. | | FIRST MIC ALUMNI EVENT | | Intercultural Communication and Developing Countries After its fifth edition, with 142 participants hailing from 39 different countries, the Master of Advanced Studies in Intercultural Communication

find USI's booth in the education and training section. | | INSTITUTE OF ITALIAN STUDIES | | Tu non mi perderai mai: the performance by dancer Raffaella Giordano to close the series Per Voce sola On Friday, 27 April the Teatro il Cortile will host the show by Raffaella Giordano, a crossover artist and performer whose signature is to combine dance with theatre. With a performance freely inspired by the "Song of Solomon", Giordano will capture her audience with an intimate and delicate performance on love and absence, able to translate into dance the depth of the poetic word. ASSOCIATIONS | | Colors of United Students Celebrates Yellow, the Colour of Justice An evening dedicated to the colour yellow promoted by the Student Association USI United Students in cooperation with
USI Amnesty International will take place on Friday, 27 April at 9.30pm at bar Milk in Lugano and at 12am at Club 1. Yellow attracts a number of indefeasible values connected with human rights and the activities of Amnesty International. The event is the second of a series featuring different colours and values. The evening will also celebrate another recurrence: the eight birthday of USI's longest running student
