Ferraris, Full Professor of Theoretical Philosophy for the University of Torino, also runs LabOnt (Laboratory of Ontology) and is a columnist for the newspaper La Repubblica, editor of the magazine Rivista di Estetica, and co-editor of Critique and Revue francophone d'esthétique. He is also the author of about forty books, which have been translated in several languages. The winner of the prize, Mark Halm, will present his thesis entitled How Social Media Communication during a Crisis by Customers in the form of UGC affects Corporate Reputation: a case study on the BP oil spill from 2010.
