Bachelors, 96 two-year Masters, and 3 Masters in Advanced Studies were awarded during the degree ceremony held last week. The Ticino Bankers Association prize was
awarded to Chiara Ballarini, who achieved the highest average mark in the Bachelor's degree program. Chiara Ballarini also won the Pietro Balestra prize for quantitative subjects, a prize funded by BSI SA. The Ticino Bankers Association prize for best performance in the graduate programs went to Marina Schmid. Name of the graduates. | | EXECUTIVE MASTER | | Graduation Ceremony for 24 Communication Professionals In its twelfth year of activity, the MScom program was attended by communication experts from top Swiss and international companies such as Volvo, Greenpeace, Swisscom, and BMW. During the Degree Ceremony that took place on Saturday, two important prizes were awarded to Honours Students: the Burson-Marsteller Award for Academic Excellence, endowed with CHF 10,000, for the best consulting project, and the SPRI Award for the highest average grade in the Master's
program. More information and pictures of the ceremony. | | INAUGURAL LECTURE | | Capital Market Volatily Professor Antonio Mele will deliver his inaugural lecture on Thursday 24 November at 5.30pm in the Auditorium of Lugano Campus. Professor Mele holds a full professorship in Finance at USI, partially sponsored by the Ticino Bankers Association, and he is also a Senior Chair at the Swiss Finance Institute. The lecture, held in English, will deal with issues relating to capital market volatility, such as its determinants, its interconnections with the business cycle, its extreme forms arising over and around market crashes, and general indications about trading and policy
implications.
