| PUBLIC EVENT SERIES RESUMES | | The Institute of Italian Studies and the arts, from books to society The public events return with three different series - Per voce sola, Qui e ora, and Storie e confini – and are organised by
ISI in collaboration with the Dicastero Giovani ed Eventi of the City of Lugano and RSI Rete Due. The success of the first edition led the organisers to augment the offering: the audience, especially youth, will be able to take part in 18 meetings that stretch from theatre performances to photography labs, and from encounters to lectures

scientific research Albanian, Czech, Romanian, Serbian and Ukrainian: these are the new languages of the EJO website that will be added to the five current languages (Italian, English, German, Polish and Latvian). The project launched October 1, and according to the plan, the new sites will be active at the beginning of 2012. In addition to creating bridges between the academic world

More information. | | ARCHITECTURE | | Retrospective dedicated to Valerio Olgiati at the Tokyo MOMA After Zurich, Tokyo will host the travelling exhibit of architect Valerio Olgiati, Full Professor at the Academy of Architecture since 2002. The retrospective dedicated to the architect from the Grisons will be open to the public from November 1 to December 15 at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (MOMA). More information. | | The Brain Bus launches its tour at USI | | On Wednesday, the Brain Bus starts its tour through the Italian-speaking area of Switzerland from USI The special bus, transformed into a discovery lab, will carry a very special guest – the brain – through Lugano, Bellinzona and Locarno. Our most complex organ can be discovered interactively through numerous stations. The lab will display the brain's functions as well as diseases, with a glimpse into the fascinating world of

The courses, which last one to three weeks, will be taught by USI lecturers with the support of the Institute of Italian Studies and the Institute of Linguistics and Semiotics. The initiative aligns with our University's will to protect and strengthen
the Italian language in Switzerland. More
