Provengono da 20 diverse nazioni i 115 nuovi diplomati in Scienze della comunicazione e in Scienze economiche dell'USI

La cerimonia - durante la quale sono stati conferiti 23 diplomi di Bachelor, 91 di Master biennale e uno di Master of Advanced Studies - si è tenuta nel tardo pomeriggio di lunedì scorso nel campus di Lugano: complimenti ai 115 nuovi laureati dell'USI!

Gli studenti di informatica presentano i propri progetti di semestre

Mercoledì primo giugno, a partire dalle ore 14.00 nell’Aula Magna del campus di Lugano, gli studenti della Facoltà di scienze informatiche presenteranno i progetti sviluppati nell’ambito del proprio percorso di studio: i temi spazieranno dalla programmazione di soluzioni informatiche, allo sviluppo di grafica computerizzata, all’applicazione delle scienze computazionali, fino all’interazione uomo-macchina attraverso i telefonini di nuova generazione.

Quando gli aspiranti architetti disegnano oggetti e spazi del futuro

Gli studenti dell'Accademia sono stati invitati a raccogliere la sfida lanciata da due note aziende: BIC e ASSOS. BIC ha chiesto di ripensare a due suoi oggetti storici come l'accendino e la penna a sfera Cristal, chiedendo di sviluppare funzioni nuove e originali. ASSOS, sponsor ufficiale della nazionale svizzera e brasiliana di ciclismo, ha invece messo a disposizione dei futuri architetti la VIP lounge del suo negozio a Lugano, tutta da arredare.

Primo concerto di USI Coro

Mercoledì 1 giugno, alle ore 20.00, in aula 354 (campus di Lugano) i membri di USI Coro presenteranno in un concerto - il primo dalla nascita dell'associazione - i risultati del proprio lavoro. Lo spettacolo è aperto al pubblico e prevede l'esecuzione dei brani ai quali i partecipanti hanno lavorato durante il semestre. La band "Carioca 6", anch'essa composta da studenti dell'USI, terrà la seconda parte del concerto.

Nasce Ucademic, nuovo strumento di Ucalenda per prepararsi agli esami

Gli esami si avvicinano e Ucalenda - il calendario online creato da studenti per altri studenti con l'obiettivo di facilitare la gestione del tempo durante l'esperienza universitaria - offre una nuova funzionalità per affrontarli: Ucademic. Questo nuovo strumento permette di condividere gli appunti dei corsi in vista degli esami e di interagire con gli altri iscritti, ponendo domande. L'uso di Ucalenda è riservato ai soli studenti ed è gratuito.

The ceremony, during which 23 Bachelor's degrees, 91 two-year Master's degrees and one degree of the Master in Advanced Studies were awarded, was held last Monday in the late afternoon on the USI Lugano Campus. Congratulations to the 115 new graduates of USI!

The Informatics students present their semester projects

Wednesday, June first, from 2pm in Aula Magna (Lugano Campus), students from the Faculty of Informatics will present their projects, developed as part of their curriculum: the topics range from the planning of IT solutions to the development of computer graphics, and from the application of computational sciences to human-computer interaction through the latest generation of mobile phones.

When aspiring architects draw objects and spaces of the future

Students from the Academy were invited to take part in the challenges launched by two well-known companies: BIC and ASSOS. BIC asked participants to reconsider two of its historic objects, such as lighters and the Cristal ballpoint pen, having them develop new and original features. Meanwhile, ASSOS, official sponsor of the Swiss and Brazilian national cycling teams, made their VIP lounge at their Lugano store available to the future architects and put them in charge of the interior design.

First USI Choir Concert

Wednesday, June 1 at 8pm in room 354 (Lugano Campus), the members of USI Choir will present a concert - the first since its inception and the product of their work to date. The show is open to the public, and the performance will include a selection of songs the participants practiced during the semester. The "Carioca 6" band, also USI students, will perform in the second portion of the concert.

Ucademic, a new tool from Ucalenda to get ready for exams

Exams are approaching, and Ucalenda - the online calendar created by student for other students that aims to facilitate time management during the university experience - is offering a tool to help prepare for the exam period: Ucademic. This new tool allows for the sharing of course notes for exam preparation and for interaction and Q&A between student members. The use of Ucalenda is reserved exclusively for students and is free.
