Gli standard di isolamento termico hanno un impatto sempre maggiore nella progettazione architettonica: essi saranno oggetto di un simposio internazionale che avrà luogo il 30 e 31 ottobre a Palazzo Turconi (aula T 1.02, campus di Mendrisio).
Lunedì 30 ottobre alle 18.30 in aula A11 (campus di Lugano) si terranno un aperitivo, una proiezione e una tavola rotonda con gli autori del libro "The walking dead. Contagio culturale e politica post-apocalittica". Abbigliamento zombie benvenuto!

Venerdì 17 novembre alle 16.00 nell'aula magna DFA/SUPSI a Locarno si terrà l'attività pre-simposio riservata a studenti USI e SUPSI. Sabato 18 novembre dalle 9:00 al Monte Verità di Ascona si entrerà nel vivo del simposio. Iscrizioni entro il 2 novembre.
La scorsa settimana al LAC quasi 200 esperti provenienti da una dozzina di paesi hanno partecipato all’evento Swiss Aging and Healthcare, alla cui organizzazione ha collaborato il Center for Economic and Political Research on Aging (CEPRA) dell'USI.
Sono iniziati in questi giorni i lavori di costruzione del nuovo stabile che dal 2020 ospiterà l’Istituto di ricerca in biomedicina, l’Istituto oncologico di ricerca – entrambi affiliati all’USI – oltre a parte dei laboratori del Neurocentro della Svizzera italiana.
Sabato 4 novembre dalle 22.00 la Hall del LAC si trasforma in un “Bollywood Club” londinese, per trascinare il pubblico in una vera e propria dance session, nel contesto della nuova mostra Focus India (ingresso CHF 25.–).

With the end of the Cantonal Accelerator – the coaching programme for the projects selected – the commission of experts of the Start-up Promotion Center USI-SUPSI will pick in November the 10 semi-finalists in view of the final round on Dec 6.
From today, the EJO network is enriched by a new language. The French version is now reality thanks to the new partner University of Neuchâtel. EJO is an initiative born at USI in 2004 counting 14 research institutions in 11 different countries.
A specialist in Digital Marketing from Google will hold a two days crash course on October 2 and October 3. Participants who will pass the non-mandatory quiz will receive an official Google AdWords certification.
The preparatory activities reserved to USI and SUPSI students will begin on November 17 from 4pm in the aula magna DFA/SUPSI in Locarno. The actual symposium will be held on November 18 at 9am at Monte Verità, Ascona. Registration by November 2.
About 200 experts hailing from a dozen of countries took part in the event held at LAC "Swiss Aging and Healthcare". The symposium was organised in cooperation with USI Center for Economic and Political Research on Aging (CEPRA).
Construction of the new building has begun. From the year 2020 it will host the Institute for Research in Biomedicine, the Institute of Oncology Research - both affiliated with USI – and part of the laboratories of the Neurocenter of Southern Switzerland.
The Hall of LAC will turn into a true London “Bollywood Club” on Saturday, November 4 from 10pm. The event will enthrall the audience with a real dance session in the context of the exhibition Focus India (entrance CHF 25.-).
