Nel contesto della visita nella Svizzera italiana della Rettrice Sarah Springman e del Vice Presidente Detlev Günther dell'ETH Zurich venerdì 25 agosto dalle 9.00 in auditorio si terrà una sessione dedicata alla comunità accademica.
Venerdì 15 settembre alle 10.30 nell'aula magna del campus di Lugano si terrà un incontro durante il quale i membri del Rettorato si soffermeranno sulle più importanti novità di inizio anno accademico.
L'USI compie un altro importante passo nel piano di rafforzamento del suo assetto di governo grazie all'entrata in carica da metà luglio della direttrice amministrativa Cristina Largader, già vicedirettrice del Cardiocentro Ticino.
Il World Humanitarian Summit si tenne a Istanbul nel 2016, con esperti da 180 Paesi e 55 capi di Stato: delle maggiori sfide si parlerà in un evento pubblico con Roy Williams e Jacques Foster il 29 agosto alle 18.00 in aula 254 (campus di Lugano).
Nell'estate del 1997 si ponevano le basi dell'Istituto di ricerca in biomedicina: due decenni dopo a Bellinzona si sono svolti i festeggiamenti, durante i quali Giorgio Noseda è stato nominato Presidente onorario della Fondazione IRB.

La 3° conferenza mondiale delle imprese familiari si terrà a Lugano dal 9 all'11 novembre. Il tema del convegno è come le imprese famigliari e le famiglie imprenditoriali possono fiorire nel nuovo disordine mondiale e il loro impatto sull'economia.
L'edizione 2018 del programma di formazione continua in ambito manageriale si arricchisce di un modulo sulla comunicazione interculturale che si terrà a Dubai, snodo globale di servizi finanziari, logistica, ospitalità e commercio.
La sesta edizione dei soggiorni linguistici dell’USI - il programma di corsi di lingua e cultura italiana per i liceali d’Oltralpe - si è chiuso con un bilancio positivo, con 50 partecipanti provenienti da tutte le regioni linguistiche svizzere.
Il progetto Match degli studenti del Bachelor in economia Giorgia Pati, Chiara Citterio e Calogero Amato si è classificato 4. al “Prix du Jeune Entrepreneur” indetto dalla Sezione svizzera dei Consiglieri del commercio estero di Francia.
A fine luglio lo studente della Facoltà di scienze della comunicazione Paolo Bortone si è aggiudicato il titolo svizzero nel massimo campionato di pallanuoto insieme alla sua squadra, i Lugano Sharks. Congratulazioni!

On the occasion of the visit to Ticino by ETH Zurich Rector Sarah Springman and Vice President Detlev Günther, a session open to the academic community will be held in the Auditorium on Friday, August 25th at 9am.
The staff of the Rectorate will hold an encounter to inform the academic community on the main news about USI and its activities. The event will be held on Friday, September 15th at 10:30am in the Aula Magna on Lugano Campus.
USI takes another important step to strengthen its government structure: the Administrative Director Cristina Largader, former Deputy Director of Cardiocentro Ticino, has taken office since mid-July.

The foundations of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine were laid in the Summer of 1997. Celebrations were held two decades later in Bellinzona together with the appointment of Giorgio Noseda as honorary president of the Foundation.
Experiential learning is a combination of tutoring and students active participation through exercises and actual situations. The first of 5 seminars will be held on November 13th-14th and the key theme will be business dynamics.

The 6th USI language study stays, the programme of courses in Italian language and culture for high school students from across the Alps, ended with the positive outcome of 50 participants hailing from all Swiss linguistic regions.
The Match project, by USI Bachelor students in Economics Giorgia Pati, Chiara Citterio and Calogero Amato won 4th place at the “Prix du Jeune Entrepreneur” organised by the Swiss offices of the French Councillors of Foreign Trade.
At the end of July, Paolo Bortone, student at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, won the Swiss Water Polo Championship together with its team the Lugano Sharks. Congratulations!
