Mercoledì 7 giugno alle ore 18.00 nell’auditorium dell’Ospedale Regionale di Bellinzona e Valli (San Giovanni) il Rettore Boas Erez proporrà una riflessione su alcune domande centrali sia per i professionisti del settore sanitario, sia per i pazienti.
Giovedì 1° giugno alle ore 14.15 in aula magna (campus di Lugano) gli studenti presenteranno i loro progetti semestrali. Seguiranno la proiezione del filmato She++ e una discussione sugli stereotipi di genere legati alle professioni in ambito IT.
Martedì 30 maggio alle ore 18.00 nello Studio 2 RSI a Lugano-Besso il prof. Giacomo Jori terrà il secondo incontro del nuovo ciclo dell'ISI, che propone un viaggio tra luoghi e regioni, al fianco dei protagonisti della nostra storia letteraria.
Jolanta Drzewiecka dell'Istituto di comunicazione pubblica concluderà il ciclo "Le arti del dialogo" con l'intervento "Self and Others: dialogue about migration" (in inglese) mercoledì 31 maggio alle ore 17.30 in aula A21, campus di Lugano.
L’edizione 2017 di confronTi primavera - il 20 giugno nell'Auditorium BancaStato a Bellinzona - mette a tema gli elementi che hanno contribuito a far registrare segnali positivi nel settore turistico ticinese, dopo un periodo difficile.

La conferenza organizzata dal prof. Olaf Schenk si terrà dal 26 al 28 giugno al Palazzo dei Congressi di Lugano con partecipanti da università, laboratori di ricerca e industria che discuteranno di supercalcolo e scienza computazionale.
L'8 e 9 giugno sul campus di Lugano si terrà l'ottava edizione del seminario “Changing Sceneries, Changing Roles”: a tema la gestione dei media, i metadata, le nuove tecnologie emergenti e le competenze utili agli addetti ai lavori.
Il meeting internazionale che si terrà il 30 settembre e il 1° ottobre nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano tratterà le ultime scoperte nel settore della reumatologia e in altre discipline essenziali alla lotta alle malattie reumatiche.
Il simposio organizzato all'USI dai professori Fabrizio Mazzonna, Jonathan S. Skinner e Massimo Filippini è frutto della collaborazione del CEPRA dell'USI e il National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) americano.

Dal 9 al 13 settembre l'Istituto di scienza computazionale (prof. Rolf Krause) propone una Summer School e un workshop per studenti di master e dottorandi dal titolo "Meshfree and immersed boundary methods for fluid-structure interaction".
La "Summer School in Public Health Policy, Economics and Management"- rivolta a ricercatori, professionisti e quadri del sistema sanitario - si terrà dal 28 agosto al 2 settembre sul campus di Lugano.
Dal 18 agosto al 1° settembre sul campus di Lugano si terrà la 21esima edizione della Swiss Social Science Methods Summer School, dedicata a coloro che desiderano approfondire le proprie conoscenze metodologiche.
Mercoledì scorso nel Giardino dei lecci (campus di Mendrisio) è stato presentato - anche grazie a testimonianze di alumni - il progetto "Archivio Viaggi", una banca dati condivisa sui viaggi organizzati da atelier e cattedre teoriche.
L'evento si terrà il 22 giugno dalle ore 18.00 e vedrà la partecipazione di alcuni laureati USI che attualmente risiedono e lavorano negli Stati Uniti, il prof. Paul Schneider e la responsabile del Servizio alumni Silvia Invrea.
La mostra "Angelo Mangiarotti. La tettonica dell'assemblaggio" a cura di Franz Graf e Francesca Albani e dedicata al designer, architetto e scultore milanese sarà inaugurata il 31 maggio alle ore 19.00 all'Architekturforum Zürich.
Sono aperte le candidature al più importante premio tecnologico svizzero. Saranno premiate le innovazioni basate sulla tecnologia in tre categorie: «Inventori», «Start-up» e «Innovation leaders». Candidature entro il 25 agosto.

Rector Boas Erez will propose a reflection on some of the key issues concerning both healthcare professionals and patients. The event will be held on June 7th at 6pm in the Auditorium of the San Giovanni Hospital in Bellinzona.
On Thursday, June 1st at 2:15pm in the Aula Magna on Lugano Campus, students will present their semester projects. A screening of the short "She++" and a discussion on gender stereotypes in the field of IT will follow the presentations.
Prof. Giacomo Jori will hold the second encounter of the series that proposes a journey through regions alongside the key figures of our literary history. The event will be held on May 30th at 6pm at Studio 2 RSI in Lugano-Besso.

The project “Journey Archive”, a shared database of the travels organised by the ateliers and theoretical courses, was presented on Wednesday at the Giardino dei lecci (Mendrisio Campus) also thanks to Alumni testimonies.
