Il Prof. Michael Bronstein ha ricevuto il prestigioso Google Faculty Research Award per il 2015 nella categoria "Machine Perception". Google conferisce i premi a sostegno della ricerca di punta ai migliori professori delle università in tutto il mondo.
Si terrà il prossimo martedì 19 aprile alle ore 18:30 nell’Auditorio del campus di Lugano la presentazione del libro, candidato al Premio Strega, “L’uomo del futuro” di Eraldo Affinati, dedicato alla figura di Don Milani.
Giovedì 14 aprile, alle ore 17:30 in aula magna (campus di Lugano) si terrà una serata di studio per i giuristi in Ticino, in collaborazione con l'Istituto di diritto dell'USI. Ingresso libero con tessera studente o collaboratore USI.
Martedì 12 aprile, alle ore 18:00 nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano, l'IDIDS ospita la prof. Silvia Figini dell'Università degli Studi di Pavia che discuterà di data science e social network analysis per l’antiriciclaggio di denaro.
Dal 18 al 29 aprile l'USI apre le sue porte a futuri studenti interessati a frequentare un programma di Master. I partecipanti iscritti seguiranno i corsi accanto ad attuali studenti immatricolati, per toccare con mano il loro futuro formativo.

Il progetto di ricerca del Prof. Raphaël Parchet, finanziato dal FNS, si occupa di analizzare gli effetti delle politiche fiscali nei Comuni svizzeri, per valutarne gli impatti e anche gli effetti sulla concorrenza fiscale intercomunale.

The presentation of the book by Eraldo Affinati on the life of Don Milani will be held on Tuesday, April 19th in the Auditorium on Lugano Campus. The book has been nominated for the Premio Strega, the most prestigious Italian literary award.
An evening of study addressed to Ticino’s lawyers will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 17.30 in the Aula Magna the Lugano campus in collaboration with the USI Law Institute. Free admission with student ID and for USI staff.
On Tuesday, April 12th at 6pm in the Auditorium (Lugano campus) the IDIDS will host prof. Silvia Figini from the University of Pavia for a public lecture on data science and social network analysis to fight money laundering.
USI is opening its doors to prospective students interested in a graduate programmes from April 18th to the 29th. Participants will be able to attend regular classes with enroled students for a first-hand experience of the programmes.
