Dopo Hannover e Mainz, il convegno fa tappa a Lugano dal 12 al 14 novembre, mettendo a tema i processi e le strategie di comunicazione nel settore della salute. Il relatore principale è il prof. Viswanath della Harvard School of Public Health.
L'Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) sarà il nuovo co-sponsor delle conferenze PASC, riconoscendo così l'importanza e gli alti standard di qualità della piattaforma dedicata alle scienze computazionali coordinata dall'USI.
Dal 10 al 12 novembre la Facoltà di scienze informatiche ospita il workshop internazionale del Centro Europeo di calcolo atomico e molecolare (CECAM) 'Understanding function of proteins in membrane by atomistic and multiscale simulations'.

Giovedì 12 novembre alle 19.00 si inaugura MAD. '15, una panoramica sulla ricerca e le attività di insegnamento dell'anno accademico 2014-2015 fatta attraverso i lavori degli studenti. La mostra resterà aperta fino al 18 dicembre.
Esperti di letteratura, storia, filosofia, cinema e architettura, tra i quali il docente USI Victor Stoichita, discuteranno il tema sabato 14 novembre dalle 11.00 in due eventi consecutivi, prima nell'aula magna del campus di Lugano e poi al LAC.

Giovedì 12 novembre in aula A31 (campus di Lugano) il prof. Giovanni De Luna dell'Università degli Studi di Torino terrà la propria lezione nell'ambito del ciclo di incontri pubblici 'Discorsi machiavelliani su politica e società'.
La mostra nasce da una tesi dell'Istituto di studi italiani mentre l'allestimento, realizzato da studenti dell'Accademia, è il risultato di un workshop a cura di Riccardo Blumer e Carla Mazzarelli. Nel video le interviste ai protagonisti dell'iniziativa.
