La Facoltà di scienze informatiche e la Fondazione Informatica per la Promozione della Persona Disabile collaboreranno per esplorare come la tecnologia possa migliorare l’esperienza museale dei visitatori con disabilità.
Giovedì 15 ottobre alle 19.30 nell'aula magna del campus di Mendrisio Hajer (curatore della IABR, International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam) terrà la conferenza pubblica "The Next Economy. Rethinking the Role of design".
Mercoledì 14 ottobre l'Università degli Studi di Messina conferirà il titolo onorario al prof. Michele Parrinello (prof. all'USI e all'ETH Zürich). Seguirà la sua lectio doctoralis “L’insostenibile leggerezza degli atomi”.
Il convegno proposto dall'ISI in collaborazione con Biblia (Associazione laica di cultura biblica), Associazione Biblioteca Salita dei Frati di Lugano e Facoltà di Teologia di Lugano si terrà il 16 e 17 ottobre nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano.
Lunedì 12 ottobre alle 13.30 nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano si tiene una lezione di Peppino Ortoleva, prof. all'Università degli Studi di Torino e tra i maggiori studiosi italiani di media, specie nella loro dimensione storica.
La classe di eGovernment del Master PMP partecipa al progetto "P2P: Challenging Extremism initiative" facendo dell'USI una delle 45 università al mondo che aderiscono all'iniziativa sponsorizzata dal Dipartimento di Stato americano.
Il 15 e 16 ottobre la Facoltà di scienze informatiche propone agli studenti liceali e delle scuole medie una serie di esposizioni interattive e conferenze per scoprire le numerose e creative applicazioni dell'informatica.
Domenica 18 ottobre alle 14.30 si tiene la proiezione del film "Syrie: instantanés d'une histoire en cours". Segue il dibattito "Come mostrare la guerra: l’etica al cinema e nei media", che vede tra i relatori la docente dell'USI Maria Cristina Lasagni.
Mercoledì 14 ottobre alla Franklin University Switzerland a Sorengo si terranno le proiezioni delle pellicole "The True Cost" (2015) e "Drone" (2014), ognuna seguita da un dibattito. L'entrata è gratuita previa iscrizione.

The Faculty of Informatics and the Computer Science Foundation for the Promotion of People with Disabilities will work together to explore how technology can improve the museum experience for visitors with disabilities.
Hajer (curator of the IABR International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam) will hold the public lecture "The Next Economy. Rethinking the role of design", on Thursday, October 15th at 7.30pm in the Aula Magna of Mendrisio Campus.
The University of Messina will confer the honorary title to prof. Michele Parrinello (prof. at USI and ETH Zürich) on Wednesday, October 14th. The lectio doctoralis “The unbearable lightness of atoms” will follow.
The lectures offered by ISI in cooperation with Biblia (laical association of bible studies), the Association Library Salita dei Frati of Lugano, and the Lugano's Faculty of Theology, will be held on October 16th-17th, in the Auditorium, Lugano Campus.
Peppino Ortoleva is professor at the University of Turin and one of the greatest scholar of Italian media and their history. He will hold a lecture on Monday, October 12th at 1.30pm in the auditorium of Lugano Campus.
