Con l'inizio dell'anno accademico François Degeorge passa il timone della Facoltà di scienze economiche al nuovo Decano Patrick Gagliardini. Nella Facoltà di scienze informatiche a Michele Lanza succede Kai Hormann.
Al progetto collaborano anche le università di Basilea e Zurigo: gli studenti potranno ottenere il Bachelor all'ETH Zürich e il Master in medicina presso una delle università partner, tra le quali il nostro ateneo.
Oltre a una serie di conferenze di architetti di fama internazionale si terrà un ciclo di incontri pubblici dal titolo "Architettura e società nella città europea contemporanea". Presentato anche il calendario delle esposizioni.
Martedì 22 settembre alle 17:30 in aula 354 il noto filosofo, già Presidente della British Academy e Vicerettore dell'Università di Oxford, terrà una lezione per inaugurare il Minor in Storia della filosofia del Bachelor in Lingua, letteratura e civiltà italiana.
Giovedì 17 settembre alle 19.00 l'Accademia inaugura la mostra curata da Franz Graf e Francesca Albani dedicata al lavoro e alla ricerca di Angelo Mangiarotti, designer e architetto che ha segnato il panorama culturale del secondo dopoguerra.
Tornano le letture pubbliche della Commedia di Dante Alighieri: mercoledì 16 settembre alle 18.00 in auditorio (campus di Lugano) Fabio Pusterla darà il via al ciclo "Lectura Dantis IV", dedicato all'approfondimento dei suoi personaggi.
Lunedì 21 settembre alle 17:30 nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano il noto immunologo francese (anche Premio Balzan 2007 per l'immunità innata) terrà una lezione pubblica in lingua francese dal titolo "L’immunità innata: dagli insetti all’uomo".
Il forum "Cancer immunology makes it to clinic: how cancer will be treated in the coming years" si terrà nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano sabato 26 settembre dalle 9.00. Iscrizioni entro il 20 settembre.
La competizione, dotata di 50'000 CHF, premia le migliori idee imprenditoriali e i progetti più innovativi concepiti negli ultimi cinque anni e che abbiano dato origine a nuove imprese nella Svizzera italiana o che siano in procinto di farlo.
Il corso semestrale sponsorizzato dalla Commissione per la tecnologia e l'innovazione (CTI) si rivolge a chi ambisce a creare una start-up o a diventare imprenditore. Il corso inizia il 6 ottobre, le iscrizioni chiudono il 24 settembre.

With the beginning of the academic year, François Degeorge hands over the reins of the Faculty of Economics to the new Dean Patrick Gagliardini. Kai Hormann will succeed Michele Lanza for the Faculty of Informatics.

The former President of the British Academy and Vice-Rector of Oxford University, will inaugurate the minor in History of Philosophy of the Bachelor in Language, Literature and Italian Civilization on September 22nd at 5.30pm in room 354.
The exhibition curated by Franz Graf and Francesca Albani is dedicated to the work and research of architect and designer Angelo Mangiarotti who marked the landscape after WW2. The opening will be held on Thursday, September 17th at 7pm.

The renowned French immunologist (also 2007 Balzan Prize for innate immunity) will hold the lecture “Innate Immunity: from insects to humans” in French on Monday, September 21st at 5.30pm in the Auditorium of Lugano Campus.

The competition rewards the best entrepreneurial ideas and the most innovative projects of the past five years, which originated in new companies in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. The winner will receive a prize of CHF 50,000.
The six-months course sponsored by the Commission for Technology and Innovation targets those interested in creating a start-up or becoming entrepreneurs. The course begins on October 6th. Registration by September 24th.
