For the 10 years of the TILO railway line, which connects the Canton Ticino with the Italian Region of Lombardy, 23 writers tell the story of the places that are crossed by this train line in a guide, and a literary anthology, published by Casagrande and Doppiozero. The presentation of the publication will be held on Monday, March 30th at
6.30pm at the library of the Academy of Architecture. themselves for their contribution to the diversity of theatrical arts in Switzerland. On March 20th, the winners of this year’s Awards were announced. Among them, the Ticino-born Margherita Palli, one of the most important set designers in Italy as well as lecturer at the Academy of Architecture where she gives a graduate-level
course in Scenography. The prizes will be awarded during the second edition of the Swiss Theatre Encounter, on May 28th at the Theater Winterthur. >>> | | EUROPE-CHINA DIALOGUE | | USI and Peking University join forces again for the 2nd Summer School After the successful experience of last summer, the USI's China Media Observatory in cooperation with the School of Journalism and Communication at Peking University will operate the 2nd Europe-China Dialogue: Media and Communication Studies Summer School in Beijing from July 1st to July 10th, 2015. The Summer School offers a unique opportunity for master, doctoral and
post-doctoral students from Europe and China to debate contemporary issues in media, communication and cultural studies in Chinese and European media industry. >>> | | PUBLIC

expression in the aftermath of the attack on Charlie Hebdo. On Tuesday, March 31st at 8.30pm in room A11 on Lugano Campus, USI professor Bertil Cottier, Enrico Morresi and Gérard Tschopp will discuss the topic, after showing the documentary Caricaturistes: fantassins de la
démocratie, by French director Stéphanie Valloatto. | | EXECUTIVE MASTER OF SCIENCE IN COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT | | Launch of the 17th EMScom On March 25th a new EMScom was launched. The executive Master is a part-time training programme for communication professionals. The 13 participants will learn new skills in the field of Communications Management, thanks to a Faculty counting over 30
lecturers hailing from institutes all over the world. The EMScom cooperates with UCLA Anderson School of Management and is offered together with Singapore Management University. >>> |
