SWITZERLAND | | #piùitaliano: a campaign to make more room for Italian More Italian means more Switzerland: it is with this belief that USI launches today on Twitter and Facebook the campaign #piùitaliano bringing together the faces, the stories and the places that narrate how plurilingualism is an essential element of the Swiss cultural heritage. With a pillow as its symbol, the campaign invites everyone to make
more room for Italian, and it falls within the many initiatives promoted by our University in support of the Italian idiom and culture. | | MASTER PROGRAMMES ORIENTATION DAY | | Master Info Day 2015 On Friday, March 6th, the students who are about to complete their bachelor’s degree will be able to orient themselves in the choice of the 17 two-year Masters offered by USI and more:
they will be able to gather information on the educational offers of

Scholarships In addition to the usual appointment that will be held on Friday, March
6th with more than 60 businesses in the Aula Magna (programme), on Thursday, March 5th the companies of the USImpresa Network will award their scholarships to the best students of the two-year Masters. The intent is to promote quality, passion and commitment among students: since 2005 the Network has awarded 158 scholarships with a total of more than 580,000 Swiss Francs. >>> | | USI IN A CANTONAL,

Five new Scholarships from SODESKA Foundation The SODESKA Foundation offers 5 annual scholarships of 4,000 Swiss Francs to all Swiss Students who are officially enrolled in a Bachelor (from the second year) or a Master at USI. Applications must be submitted at the information desks of both Lugano and
Mendrisio Campus by March 31st, 2015. The scholarships will be assigned by a commission based on merit. | | OPENING OF THE
INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION BY USI'S L'IDEATORIO | | Crazy About Numbers! Born from a cooperation between USI’s L’ideatorio, Prof. of Statistics Antonietta Mira and SMASI (Math Society of the Italian speaking region of Switzerland), the exhibition Crazy About Numbers! will be open from today until April 26th at the Casa Serodine in Ascona. The project aim is to invite young and adults to explore the world of math through “mathemagic” and data from our daily lives with the help of our fingers, dice and data. >>> | | MASTER OF ADVANCED STUDIES IN INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION (MIC) | | Graduation Ceremony for 23 MIC graduates The 6th MIC ended last Saturday. The postgraduate programme allows participants to enrich their personal profile in the public or private sector with high- level intercultural competencies. 23 diplomas were awarded during the ceremony to professionals of 11 different
nationalities. 21 students hailing from 16 different countries have been attending the 7th MIC since last week. >>> | | HARLEY DAVIDSON SCHOLARSHIPS | | Harley-Davidson Club Ticino Awards Two Students from Ticino The ceremony will be held on Friday, March 6th at 11am in front of the main building entrance. Both
recipients, nominated by a special commission according to merit, will receive an annual scholarship of CHF 4,000 in the presence of the President of the
Harley-Davidson Club Ticino Augusto Marchi and USI's Secretary General Albino Zgraggen.
