SCIENCES RESUME | | The Power on Meta-Networks for Rapid Ethnographic Assessment On Thursday, 27 February at 4.30pm in room 253 (Lugano Campus),
Professor Kathleen Carley of Carnegie Mellon University will hold a lecture on the use of supercomputing, meta-networks and text analytics with the goal to make rapid ethnographic assessments. The analysis and interpretation of large amounts of data – in this case, news published on different online media such as Twitter - can provide key insight into the underlying cultures. Results for two cases will be presented: the Benghazi Consulate attack in September 2012 and the

technologies and universities of applied sciences throughout Switzerland including Academies and the Swiss National Science Foundation, have published a few days ago an open letter to the Federal Council after the vote on the popular initiative to stop mass immigration.
