Mostra sull'attività didattica dell'Accademia di architettura

Giovedì 14 novembre alle 19.00 nella Galleria dell'Accademia (campus di Mendrisio) si inaugura MAD. '13, una panoramica sulla ricerca e le attività di insegnamento dell'Accademia di architettura durante l'anno accademico 2012-2013. Queste attività sono illustrate attraverso i lavori degli studenti, una testimonianza di grande ricchezza progettuale e comunicativa. La mostra resterà aperta fino al 22 dicembre.

Fabio Pusterla vince il Premio Napoli 2013

Il docente dell'Istituto di studi italiani dell'USI, con il libro Concessione all’inverno, è tra i vincitori del Premio Napoli per la Lingua e la Cultura italiana 2013. L'autore e poeta ticinese ritirerà il premio il 13 dicembre.

Per gli utenti dei moderni smartphone è difficile controllare chi raccoglie i suoi dati, quando, per quali scopi e in quali situazioni. È necessario definire nuovi meccanismi di gestione semi-automatizzata delle impostazioni di privacy per aiutare gli utenti a gestire meglio i propri dati personali. Se ne discuterà con Mattia Gustarini giovedì 14 novembre alle 14.30 in aula SI-015 (campus di Lugano).

Insegnare la letteratura italiana oggi

Martedì 26 novembre alle 18.30 in auditorio (campus di Lugano) si terrà il secondo appuntamento del ciclo Costruttori, rabdomanti, palombari. Il percorso dell'insegnante di italiano, promosso con l'obiettivo di istituire un Centro di didattica dell'italiano nella Svizzera italiana. Romano Luperini terrà una conferenza dal titolo Insegnare la letteratura italiana oggi. La partecipazione è gratuita; è gradita l’iscrizione.

Convegno annuale dell’Associazione Svizzera di Linguistica Applicata

Il convegno dal titolo Norme linguistiche in contesto si terrà all'USI tra il 12 e il 14 febbraio 2014. I relatori rifletteranno sul configurarsi delle norme linguistiche in vari contesti, dalla politica e l’educazione alle situazioni di contatto linguistico, i media e i settori professionali. È possibile iscriversi online entro il 10 gennaio.

Programmi di mobilità: presentazione delle università partner dell’USI

Martedì 12 novembre alle 12.30 nel foyer dell’Aula magna (campus di Lugano) il Servizio relazioni internazionali e mobilità propone un momento informativo dedicato agli studenti interessati a partire nell'ambito di uno dei programmi di scambio. In una sorta di fiera internazionale le università partner saranno rappresentate dagli studenti ospiti all'USI o da studenti USI che in passato hanno effettuato un soggiorno.

An Exhibition on Didactics

The MAD. '13 opening will be held in the Academy Gallery (Mendrisio Campus) on Thursday, 14 November, at 7pm. The exhibition will showcase the research and the results of the teachings of the Academy of Architecture for the A.Y. 2012-2013 through the students’ work – a statement of richness in planning and communication. The exhibition will be open until 22 December.

Fabio Pusterla wins the Napoli Prize 2013

With the book Concessione all'inverno the lecturer of USI's Institute of Italian Studies is among the winners of the Napoli Prize 2013 for Italian Language and Culture. The author and poet from Ticino will receive the award on 13 December.

It is difficult for the modern smartphone users to control who collects their personal data, when they collect it, for what purpose, and in which situations. It is necessary to define new semi-automated privacy settings mechanisms to help users to better manage their personal data. These topics will be discussed in the framework of the seminar by Mattia Gustarini, on Thursday, 14 November, at 2.30pm, in room SI-015 (Lugano Campus).

Teaching Italian Literature today

On Tuesday, 26 November, at 6.30pm, in the Auditorium (Lugano Campus), the second conference of the series Costruttori, rabdomanti, palombari. Il percorso dell'insegnante di italiano will be held. The conference has the objective to set up a didactic centre for the Italian language in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Romano Luperini will hold a conference with the title Teaching Italian literature today. Participation is free, prior registration is appreciated.

Annual Meeting of the Swiss Association for Applied Linguistics

The annual meeting will be dedicated to Language Norms in Context and will be held at USI from 12 to 14 February, 2014. The speakers will reflect on the configuration of linguistic norms in different contexts, from politics and education to situations of linguistic contact, the media and the professional sectors. Online registration will be possible until 10 January.

Presentation of USI’s Mobility Programmes

On Tuesday, 12 November, at 12.30pm, in the Foyer of Aula Magna (Lugano Campus), the International Relations and Study-abroad office will hold an information session for USI students interested in studying abroad during the A.Y. 2014-2015. In a sort of international fair, USI’s partner universities will be represented by host students who currently study at USI in the framework of an exchange programme or by USI students who already spent a semester abroad.
