The open day will be held on Saturday, 25 May from 11am to 4pm in Via Vela 6 Bellinzona. The event is the perfect opportunity for a closer look to the nine IRB's research groups. The programme includes presentations by the directors of the groups, video clips and laboratory visits to discover how the cutting edge laboratory equipment works. Sapelli (Turin, 1947) is Professor of Economic History and Organisation's Cultural Analysis at the University of Milan. He taught in many Italian and foreign universities such as Berlin, Paris, New York, Buenos Aires and Sidney. On Thursday, 23 May at 8pm in the Aula Magna he will hold a lecture entitled City or Metropolis: an alternative City, closing the series FINIS URBIS? European Cities and Globalisation. More information. | | A GESTURE OF GREAT SOLIDARITY | | All we need is Blood: back at USI a day for donating blood After the success of the first blood drive, USI in cooperation with the Transfusional Service of the Swiss Red Cross, organises a day dedicated to blood donation. The event is scheduled for Monday, 27 May
from 11am to 5pm on the second floor of the Main Building (Lugano Campus). To donate you must be in good health and weigh more than 50 kg. All you have to do is show up at the booth with a valid ID on a full stomach. The procedure will last about 30 minutes.
