73 neodiplomati di oltre 20 nazionalità

Quella di scienze economiche è la Facoltà dell'USI con più studenti attualmente iscritti, oltre 1'000. Durante la cerimonia della settimana scorsa sono stati conferiti 2 diplomi di Bachelor, 69 diplomi di Master biennale e 2 di Master of Advanced Studies. La cerimonia è stata l'occasione per presentare ai neolaureati l'USI Alumni Association, nata nel 2010 per mantenere e coltivare i rapporti tra i nostri ormai quasi 4400 laureati.

La città come opera d'arte

L'architetto Marco Romano (Milano, 1934) è stato docente nelle facoltà di architettura di Genova, Palermo, Milano e di Venezia, dove ha anche diretto il Dipartimento di Urbanistica dell'Istituto Universitario di Architettura dal 1978 al 1982. Dal 2003 al 2005 ha insegnato Estetica della città all'Accademia di architettura dell'USI. Giovedì 16 maggio alle 20.00 nell'Aula magna del campus di Mendrisio, nell'ambito del ciclo FINIS URBIS? Città europea e globalizzazione, terrà una conferenza pubblica dal titolo La città come opera d'arte.

L'USI è l'università svizzera che realizza più mobilità studentesca a scopo di tirocinio

Lo scorso anno accademico l'USI Career Service ha assegnato un totale di 72 borse, di cui 29 a studenti del campus di Lugano e 43 di Mendrisio. Ad oggi è stato possibile accogliere tutte le richieste (requisiti). Da un'analisi dei dati sulla mobilità Erasmus che mette a confronto i risultati conseguiti dai vari atenei elvetici, effettuata dalla Fondazione ch per la collaborazione confederale, emerge che nell'anno accademico 2011-2012 l'USI è stata l'università che ha ottenuto il maggior numero di borse di questo tipo.

Continua in Svizzera il successo del programma europeo Erasmus

Dopo più di 25 anni di esistenza in Europa, il successo del programma di scambio Erasmus non fa che aumentare. Durante l'anno accademico 2011/12 più di 3000 persone che studiano o lavorano in un'università svizzera hanno beneficiato di un soggiorno Erasmus in 29 diversi Paesi europei, con un aumento del 10% in confronto all'anno precedente. L'USI ha attualmente oltre 60 accordi di scambio con università europee, coordinati dal Servizio relazioni internazionali e mobilità.

Quale è la tua visione del futuro? Condividi la tua storia!

STORY2023 è una competizione transmediale che invita a cimentarsi nella narrazione su diverse piattaforme tecnologiche. Gli studenti delle università svizzere sono invitati ad immaginare il futuro con una storia ambientata tra 10 anni, nel 2023. La competizione è interdisciplinare e in palio c'è un viaggio di una settimana a San Francisco. Il concorso, che inizierà il primo giugno, è organizzato da swissnex San Francisco in occasione dei 10 anni dalla sua fondazione.

Affari di famiglia tra i corridoi dell'USI

Il 29, 30 e 31 maggio prossimi il campus di Lugano si trasformerà in un set per la TV: saranno infatti girate alcune scene della fiction RSI che racconta le vicende di casa Britti. La produzione è alla ricerca di studentesse e studenti disponibili a partecipare alle riprese come comparse (compenso: 60 CHF per mezza giornata, 100 CHF per una giornata intera). Gli interessati possono compilare il formulario online indicando nel campo disponibilità, oltre alle date, "Lugano, Università".

73 new Graduates hailing from 20 different Countries

USI's Faculty of economics currently counts the highest number of students enrolled, over 1,000. During last week's ceremony 2 Bachelor's degrees, 69 two-year Master's and 2 Master of Advanced Studies were conferred. The ceremony has been the perfect opportunity to introduce all new graduates to the USI Alumni Association, founded in 2010 to maintain and cultivate relationships among our nearly 4,400 graduates.

The City, a Work of Art

The Architect Marco Romano (Milano, 1934) was a lecturer for the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa, Palermo, Milan and Venice, where he also directed from 1978 to 1982 the Department of Urban Planning of the University Institute of Architecture. From 2003 to 2005 he taught Aesthetics at USI's Academy of Architecture. He will hold a public lecture entitled The City, a Work of Art as part of the series FINIS URBIS? European Cities and Globalisation on Thursday, 16 May at 8pm in the Aula Magna of Mendrisio Campus.

USI is the Swiss University with the most student mobility for internships

During the past academic year, USI Career Service has awarded a total of 72 scholarships: 29 to students on Lugano Campus, 43 on Mendrisio Campus. To this day it has been possible to accommodate all requests (requirements). A careful analysis of data gathered on Erasmus mobility, carried on by the Swiss Foundation for Confederal Cooperation comparing results in different Swiss universities, shows that in the Academic year 2011-2012 USI has been the university which has obtained the greatest number of these scholarships.

The Success of the European Programme Erasmus carries on in Switzerland

After more than 25 years, the success of the programme Erasmus is increasing every year. During the academic year 2011/12 more than 3,000 people studying or working in a Swiss University have benefited from an Erasmus exchange in 29 different European countries (10% more than the previous year). USI currently counts 60 exchange agreements with European universities, all coordinated by the International Relations and Study-Abroad Office.

How do you picture the future? Share your story!

STORY2023 is a transmedia storytelling competition on different technological platforms. All students at Swiss universties are asked to imagine the future and write a story set in 10 years, in 2023. The contest is interdisciplinary and the prize will be a week in San Francisco. It will begin on 1 June and is organised by swissnex San Francisco on the occasion of the foundation's 10th anniversary.

Affari di famiglia hits USI's hallways

The Lugano Campus will turn into a TV set on the 19, 30, 31 May: scenes from the RSI fiction that tells the story of the Britti's family will be shot on location. The production is looking for students willing to take part in the shooting as extras (compensation: 60 CHF for half day, 100 CHF for the full day). Those interested can fill out the online form specifying in addition to available dates, times, also "Lugano Università" .
